Summer is half over (oh I'm so sorry I mentioned that, but really I'm just trying to ease the blow to me) and we are busy busy this week. We are looking forward to the visit of some dear friends tonight as they pass through on their way to Canada and I'm not nearly ready. We've had a full week already - lots of sewing and a little bit of running on my part, trying to make decisions about pre-school for Peter, a surprise visit to the doctor yesterday to check Peter's arm which turned out not to be broken (but he sure whined about it and then right after the x-rays were taken, of course he seemed fine), and today some cleaning to spic and span the house for our guests. And yesterday, we fit in a craft day full of nature and fun.
First, we went off into the "woods" (aka edges of the park) to collect bits of nature in our paper bags.
Add another circle of contact paper on top, cut a small hole in the top, thread a ribbon through it, and voila, you have yourself a window to nature. Perfect for hanging in your own window and reminding you the beauty all around you.
