I can't get enough of vintage sheets lately. On Saturday when I left the boys at the park so I could go thrifting, I knew I needed to be fairly quick so I decided to focus mainly on finding sheets. In the first store I found nothing, but I scored big time in the second store - 7 or 8 sheets and I only got charged a dollar for each one! And the third store brought me a few more fabulous sheets, not at the price of the second store, but still worth it! All in all I came home with this entire stack.
Sometimes when I'm feeling stressed, all I want to do is sift through my sheet collection and find good combos for banners. It's excellent therapy really. I just love the idea of putting these fabrics together that were never really meant to be together and seeing what happens. This is the lure of crafting, isn't it? The creating of something that didn't exist and wouldn't exist without you.

That's perfect definition of crafting ... "to create something that didn't exist and wouldn't exist without you." Sounds like the preface to a ingenious DIY book.

I love your banners Jess. I really want a bithday one, but I'm going to have to wait a bit. I get compliments on the one in my kitchen all the time--and I should. It's wonderful.

I have the same disease! I heard it wasn't fatal unless the floors gave way! even then you may survive! Glad to know there are others out there like me! Somehow I don't feel so nutty!
